Compensation: $35–$40 per hour, Paid via W2 (on the books)

A private family in White Plains, NY is seeking a trustworthy, experienced, and proactive Family Assistant to help support the smooth day-to-day operation of their home. This role is ideal for a dependable self-starter who enjoys household organization, takes pride in maintaining order, and is comfortable handling a variety of personal and home-related tasks with care and discretion.

Main Work Duties:

• Handle household laundry with a strong emphasis on ironing and garment care.
• Organize clothing, closets, and wardrobe spaces.
• Assist with packing and preparation for weekend trips and travel.
• Maintain neat, orderly clothing and storage areas.
• Restock groceries and household essentials.
• Assist with light household cleaning and tidying as needed.
• Help maintain an organized, well-functioning home environment.
• Support occasional simple meal preparation, as needed.
• Run local errands, including dry cleaning pickups and drop-offs.
• Coordinate or assist with car maintenance, car washing, and related household needs.
• Handle miscellaneous local tasks that help keep the household running smoothly.

Required Qualities:

• Trustworthy, loyal, and discreet.
• Experienced in private household support or a similar family assistant role.
• Proactive and able to identify what needs to be done without constant direction.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent common sense and sound judgment.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Dependable, responsible, and interested in a long-term position.
• Comfortable working independently and maintaining confidentiality.

Cooking Required: Occasionally. Simple meal preparation may be requested from time to time.

The building offers private parking and a doorman, and the selected candidate will have their own dedicated work area within the home.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3+ solid years of family assistant experience in a private home.
• Excellent references from both current and previous employers.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must speak and be able to communicate well in English.
• Authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
• Valid Driver's license and clean driving record.
