Dishwasher / Porter — Adesso Bakeshop
Part-Time / 2 Nights a Week / Sunset Park, Brooklyn

Adesso Bakeshop is a growing Brooklyn bakery making sourdough cookies, Italian amaretti, mochi brownies, and seasonal baked goods.

We are looking for a part-time Dishwasher / Porter to keep our kitchen clean, stocked, and running smoothly during weekly production. This is a hands-on support role focused on dishwashing, cleaning, and general kitchen upkeep, with some light baking help mixed in.

This is a good fit for someone who is reliable, hardworking, and takes pride in a clean, organized kitchen. Previous dishwashing experience is required. We will teach you what you need to know for our kitchen. Your main job is to keep the kitchen clean and support the team.

Schedule
Thursday and Friday evenings, approx. 5:30pm – 9:30/10:30pm

What You'll Do

• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and baking equipment throughout the shift
• Sweep, mop, wipe down surfaces, and take out trash
• Help close and reset the kitchen at the end of the night
• Empty and move 50 lb ingredient bags and other supplies
• Set up and break down sheet pans, parchment, labels, and containers
• Help with light baking tasks when needed, such as scooping or rolling
• Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe
• Ask questions when you are unsure and communicate clearly with the team

• Reliable and on time
• Hardworking and comfortable staying busy
• Comfortable on your feet for 4+ hours
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Clean and organized
• Positive and easy to work with
• Willing to learn
• Able to communicate clearly in English
• Previous kitchen, dishwashing, or food production experience is a plus but not required
• Basic food safety knowledge is a plus

Pay
