Local distribution company specializing in hospitality goods looking for a shipping coordinator to join their team in Buffalo, NY!

1st shift hours - 7:30am-4pm + OT

Pay varies based on experience - $18-23/hr

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Manage all outgoing domestic and international shipments

· Pick and pack orders for shipment

· Determine if orders are to ship Parcel or LTL based on specific criteria

· Monitor weather and transit times for heat sensitive shipments

· Quote and Schedule all incoming & outgoing shipments with carriers

· Process all parcel and pallet shipments

· Input freight details to spreadsheet

· Create and track claims and billing discrepancies with carriers

· Communicate effectively with Purchasing, Production and Management to meet daily goals

· Maintain Inventory – monitor, rotate, and log inventory

· Maintain clean workspace and warehouse space

· Assist with receiving and stocking as needed

Qualifications:

· Good time management, organized, quick thinking, multi-tasking is a MUST

· Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects up to 60 LBS throughout the day

· Competent computer skills: UPS Worldship, Fedex Ship Manager, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) experience a plus.

· Proven 2-3 years previous warehouse and shipping experience.

· Attention to detail, for example we may have 6 SKUs of different M&M's, read the order and pull the correct ones.

· Ability to operate a forklift and tow motor following safety policies.
