Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist Job Details

• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel healthcare contract)
• Location: Rochester, NY 14626 (New York healthcare job)
• Facility Setting: Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 09/22/2025 – End: 12/22/2025)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,740 – $2,810
• Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (07:00 – 17:00)
• Total Hours per Week: 40
• Orientation: 16 hours
• First-time travelers welcome

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a CT / Rad Tech in a cardiac cath lab setting
• Active New York state Radiologic Technologist license (must be in hand to submit)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT (R), CCI RCIS
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record/charting system
• Ability to float to other clinical units as needed
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the Rochester facility
• Background check required (case-by-case review)
• Completion of facility modules (up to 5 billable hours pre-start)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures in the cardiac cath lab, including cardiac catheterizations, stent placements, and closure device implants
• Set up and operate specialized imaging equipment for cardiac procedures
• Scrub and circulate during procedures, maintaining a sterile field and adhering to infection control protocols
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias and dysrhythmias
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and assist with IABP placement/removal, PCI, PTCA, and rotablader athrectomy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver exceptional patient care for adult and geriatric populations
• Accurately document all procedures and patient care activities using the EPIC charting system
