Shifts: 6:30 AM/7:30 AM - 3:30 PM/4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Operating Room

• Circulate in OR for cases across Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology, ENT, GI, Spine, and other specialties
• Apply nursing knowledge and skill in high-quality patient care delivery
• Assess patient and family needs and develop individualized care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Provide education to patients and families to support understanding of care and lifestyle changes post-hospitalization
• Promote safety and rights of patients while fostering trust and cooperation among healthcare teams
• Evaluate quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and engage in self-improvement efforts

Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Operating Room

• Valid NYS Registered Nurse Licensure
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required (AHA/RQI)
• STROKE and NIHSS certification
• OR Circulator Experience
• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience
