Salary range: $59,116.00 - $91,768.00 Job Summary: This position will be responsible for the implementation of the NYC EEO policy within the Bronx Borough President's Office. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:- The EEO Officer will be responsible for ensuring that the Bronx Borough President's Office meets EEO responsibilities mandated by the City Charter, NYC EEO Policy, and other applicable
- Develop and enforce equal opportunity policy and procedures, compliant with law and NYC EEO policy.
- Conduct Investigations on EEO complaints in accordance with the City's requirements to ensure timely processing and completion.
- Conduct referrals mediation sessions to OATH. Refer non-EEO complaints to Human Resources and other stakeholders for corrective action.
- Analyze reasonable accommodation requests, engage in a cooperative dialog with employees and other stakeholders, and determine eligibility in accordance with NYC EEO policy, the
- Prepare and provide guidance to the Agency Head and Chief of Staff in drafting the agency's annual EEO Plan. When final approval received by DCAS submit to government agencies.
- Prepare, manage and submit quarterly and annual reports as required by management, state, local, and federal regulatory agencies, citywide policies, and law in a timely manner.

- Work collaboratively with Human Resources to ensure employment-related activities adhere to EEO policy and applicable rules, regulations, and laws.
- Conduct a statistical workforce analysis and advice Chief of Staff in the areas of recruitment, promotions, separations, and underutilization.
- Work closely and collaboratively with Chief of Staff on issues that may need special approval/consideration, such as compliance with work accommodations, etc.
- Respond to City oversight agency audits and implement all required corrective actions to achieve compliance.
- Arrange training sessions, seminars and formal presentations on topics related to equal opportunity, non-discrimination, sexual harassment and diversity, ensuring that employees, supervisors
- Provide guidance and assistance to agency managers, supervisors, and human resource professionals in addressing issues relating to equal employment opportunity.
- Establish training objectives to ensure that all employees, new employees and interns receive all mandated EEO trainings.

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or 2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or 3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
Preferred Skills Education and Experience: -Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience required. -Knowledge and understanding of the NYC EEO Policy. -At least one year of specialized or related work preparing, implementing, or handling sensitive and confidential matters. Public Service Loan Forgiveness As a prospective employee of the City of New York, you may be eligible for federal loan forgiveness programs and state repayment assistance programs.
