Ten Broeck Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing is now hiring a full time Resident Van Driver to join our team! Ten Broeck is a 258-bed facility that is recognized all over the Hudson Valley for our outstanding delivery of subacute and long-term care.
The Resident Van Driver is responsible fortransporting residents from Ten Broeck and Golden Hill to and from various locations, including appointments, hospitals, family member households, etc. The Resident Van Driver takes direction from Transportation Coordinator, RNs, LPNs and Nursing Office Manager to carry out resident transportation. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF A RESIDENT VAN DRIVER:
·Provides safe transportation for residents in the Ten Broeck or Golden Hill van.
·Assures safety of the residents at all times.
·Ensures van is clean and takes it for washes regularly.
·Fills gas tank regularly/as needed.
·Performs routine maintenance as needed (i.e., oil changes).
·Reports any issues with the van so it can be addressed immediately (i.e., light out, blinker not working, new windshield wipers, etc.)
·Reports all cases of alleged violations involving mistreatment, neglect or abuse including injuries of unknown sources.
·Notes resident changes of condition and reports same to LPN/RN.
·Other tasks as assigned.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF A RESIDENT VAN DRIVER:
·Requires movement all over the building, in the van, and during visits to resident destinations. Must be able to lift, push, pull and move a minimum of 50 lbs.
·Must be able to lift and turn and residents.



RESIDENT VAN DRIVER Qualifications required

»Must be 21 years of age or older.

»Must have a valid New York State driver's license.

»Must have a clean driving record.

»Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
