Senior Manager - GPO Operations & Event Strategy
The Senior Manager, GPO Operations & Events Strategist will oversee the creation and management of SOWs, POs, invoices, and GPO contract submissions to support the Sr. Director, National Accounts & GPO. You will drive the strategic planning, execution, and operational alignment of customer-focused meetings and events specific to trade associations, National Accounts, and GPO Program Investments. Reporting directly to the Area Vice President, Oncology and Hematology, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless collaboration across internal cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Senior Manager, GPO Operations & Events Strategist, are to:

Support the development, review, management, and submission of GPO contracts, statements of work (SOWs), purchase orders (POs), and invoices to ensure accuracy, compliance, budget alignment, and timely approvals for payment extraction;

Develop and maintain a system for tracking and managing contracts, SOWs, POs, and invoices related to national accounts and GPO engagements;

Exemplify a deep understanding of contracts to ensure all deliverables are executed, including supporting the renewal process for annual contracts and their continued execution;

Coordinate with internal cross-functional stakeholders, such as marketing and customer engagement, to align Bayer representation at conferences based on GPO/National Account member registration lists, objectives, and event pull-through to ensure seamless event execution and maximize ROI;

Conduct pre- and post-conference debriefs and action items;

Assist in the design and implementation of event strategies that drive customer-facing engagement and align with corporate strategic outcomes;

Provide clear, consistent updates to stakeholders and leadership on timelines, budgets, and outcomes;

Identify opportunities to streamline inefficient processes for improvement at a national level;

Provide general support for the Sr. Director as new initiatives are launched, assisting in the development of strategies to deploy and execute.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
-
5+ years of experience in event strategy, strategic operations, or project management in a corporate setting;

Experience with high-value partners such as GPOs and National Accounts;

Proven experience managing contracts, SOWs, POs, and invoices;
-
Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills;
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities with a strategic mindset and attention to detail;
-
Experience collaborating across departments and managing GPO/vendor relationships;
-
Demonstrated leadership and the ability to foster an environment that promotes ethical behavior in compliance with company policies and applicable laws;
-
Ability to travel extensively to various field locations as required (50%).
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $ 150,772.80 - $226,159.20 .
Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..
This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
