Purpose and Objective:
SAP Global Marketing, Inc. seeks an Audience Relations Senior Specialist at our New York, NY location to build and maintain trust with key stakeholders including analysts, civil society organizations, employees, financial community, influencers, media, bloggers, and public policy makers.
Expectations and Tasks:
Educate and engage stakeholders through programs, campaigns and events. Share audience-relevant news, facts and stories. Monitor SAP and IT-related audience discussions and ensure crisis readiness. Counsel the SAP Board and internal stakeholders. Develop and maintain a communication plan based on company and audience requirements. Identify budget requirements and manage financial forecasts. Continuously evolve channels, formats and programs based on impact measurement to best meet audience-specific requirements. Utilize the knowledge or experience of assigned topics within audience relations area. Leverage the understanding of entire audience relations area as well as broader Global Corporate Affairs (GCA) and SAP strategy, financials, ecosystem, products, priorities and Board areas. Know external audience, maintain independent relationships with selected members of external audience. Counsel team and lead on assigned topics within audience relations area. Solve complex problems within area of assigned topics. Represent assigned topics within audience relations area and GCA, where applicable. Provide constructive feedback to cross-functional colleagues and managers. Create audience-specific corporate messaging on assigned topics. Own subtopic in high-impact programs or campaigns, independently set priorities, decide and drive tactics and deliver strong results. Contribute to annual communications plan. Create common ground on assigned topics and get colleagues to work towards joint goal. Contribute to evolution of strategy/communications plan in audience relations area by providing solutions on assigned topics as well as relevant information and insights from other parts of GCA (e.g. regions), the SAP business (e.g. industries) or the relevant audience group (through e.g. monitoring). Focus on sharing, synergies and re-use as well as working in a highly integrated fashion. Act as a solid contributor in crisis situations. Act as a team lead or undertake supervisory responsibilities.
Education and Occupational Experience *: *
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Information Systems or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Information Systems or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience *: *
Experience must involve three (3) years in the following:

Customer relationship development;
-
Leading a program including budget across marketing and product engineering teams; and
-
Executive maturity and ability to deliver coaching pre/post analyst engagements.
Experience must involve one (1) year in the following:
-
Handling escalation of evaluations;
-
Development and delivery of Analyst Relations strategy;

Data analyzation tools such as Architect or Oz; and
-
Gartner Magic Quadrants and other relevant evaluative research.
Travel: Position requires up to 30% domestic and international travel to various unanticipated SAP offices and conferences.

Compensation Range Transparency : * The annual base salary range for this position is $115,794 - $182,336. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $121,800 - $207,200. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
