Job Title: Clerical Assistant

Location: New York, NY 10029

Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Pay Rate: $23–$24/hour (W2)

Job Description

We are seeking a Clerical Assistant to support daily administrative and office operations in a fast-paced healthcare-related environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, professional, and comfortable interacting with patients, clinical staff, and visitors throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general clerical duties including filing, data entry, indexing, and record maintenance

• Provide reception support, including greeting visitors and answering inquiries

• Schedule meetings and appointments

• Type and prepare correspondence and reports

• Operate office equipment such as fax machines, computers, and photocopiers

• Maintain accurate data entry with a minimum typing speed of 50 keystrokes per minute

• Liaise with nurses, physicians, and other staff members

• Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a professional demeanor

• Interact with patients consistently throughout the workday

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of clerical or administrative experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (intermediate level)

• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

• Excellent customer service skills

• Ability to multitask and work in a professional office environment

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Prior medical office experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred
