Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is available within a K-12 public school district in Oswego, NY, for the upcoming school year. This contract position offers a dynamic setting working with a diverse pediatric caseload, providing essential speech and language therapy services across multiple schools on an itinerant basis. The role includes indirect administrative hours, paid team meetings, and collaboration with district staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Utilize caseload or workload models to manage and prioritize therapy assignments effectively.
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and related service providers to support student success.
- Participate in paid team meetings and complete indirect administrative duties as required.
- Travel between assigned schools within the district to provide itinerant therapy services.
Qualifications:
- Speech-Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or appropriate NY state licensure.
- Experience working in healthcare, pediatrics, and school-based speech therapy settings.
- Familiarity with teletherapy is beneficial but not currently utilized for this position.
- Ability to provide services under a contract for a full school year, with an option for maternity leave coverage from September to December.
- Effective communication skills and capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
