The company is experiencing strong product-market fit and significant growth, with customers ranging from high-growth startups to large enterprise organizations. The team operates in a highly collaborative, in-office environment designed to support fast iteration, continuous learning, and strong cross-functional alignment across go-to-market teams.
The Opportunity
Our partner is seeking a BDR Manager to lead and scale their outbound sales development function. This role sits at the center of the company’s go-to-market engine and will play a critical role in building the systems, processes, and coaching structure that support pipeline generation.
The BDR team is already producing strong results and continues to grow. This leader will coach and develop early-career sales talent, refine outbound strategies, and design the operational playbooks that allow the team to scale significantly over the coming years. The role provides the opportunity to directly influence revenue growth while partnering closely with sales leadership, marketing, and revenue operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Development Representatives
- Build onboarding and ramp programs that help new hires become productive quickly
- Provide ongoing coaching on cold calling, prospecting strategy, objection handling, and qualification
- Oversee outbound prospecting activities including cold calling, email outreach, and LinkedIn engagement
- Establish and refine outbound playbooks, messaging frameworks, and prospecting processes
- Monitor pipeline generation, activity metrics, and funnel performance
- Maintain accurate pipeline and activity reporting within CRM systems
- Partner with sales, marketing, and revenue operations teams to improve lead generation and outbound workflows
- Support hiring and onboarding of new BDRs as the team scales
- Design systems and processes that enable the outbound organization to grow efficiently
Requirements
- Prior experience managing or coaching Business Development Representatives or Sales Development Representatives within a SaaS or technology environment
- Strong understanding of outbound prospecting strategies including cold calling, email outreach, and personalization
- Proven ability to drive pipeline generation and meet or exceed performance targets
- Experience working with modern sales tools and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce or similar systems)
- Ability to analyze performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve sales processes
- Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
- Ability to work onsite in New York City five days per week
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building or scaling outbound sales teams in early-stage companies
- Familiarity with modern go-to-market tooling and sales automation platforms
- Interest in AI-powered productivity and sales technology
