Case Picker

Job Details:

Job Summary:

Assembles and maintains case carts with required supplies for emergent and routine surgical cases.

Responsibilities:

• Reviews Operating Room (OR) schedule and participates in daily rounds to determine case carts and supplies required for upcoming surgical procedures.
• Collaborates with Central Sterile and OR Materials Management team members to obtain required supplemental surgical instrumentation and related supplies.
• Utilizes pick lists as a reference to assemble case carts.
• Picks items and assembles case carts for upcoming and anticipated surgical

cases. Ensures integrity of related packaging, wraps, and containers.

• Identifies and/or missing items and obtains replacements, as required. Informs management of related inventory needs.
• Transports case carts to appropriate locations within OR for use.
• Communicates with OR team members to ensure availability of needed supplies.
• Performs required duties to maintain a contaminant-free work environment.
• Adheres to department policies and procedures and related regulatory standards in the performance of duties.
• Documents and maintains records of daily activities according to department policies and procedures.
• Participates in department quality control programs and in-service training, as required.
• Performs related duties, as required.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Experience:

• Prior related OR experience, preferred

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing) and

follow oral and/or written instructions, required. Special Requirements: N/A
