Shift: 12 hours a day, Days

Schedule: 3 days/week

Expected Hours: 34.5 hours per week

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Cardiac ICU to support a high-acuity unit at a major New York City hospital. This role is ideal for an ICU RN with strong cardiac and critical care experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident managing complex, critically ill patients.

The RN will work collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, evidence-based care to patients requiring advanced cardiac and critical care interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill cardiac ICU patients
• Perform continuous patient assessments and respond rapidly to changes in condition
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and lab results
• Administer medications and treatments, including IV infusions and conscious sedation support
• Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff to implement care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
• Participate in unit-based quality and safety initiatives

RN01

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License (required)
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience
• AHA BLS (required)
• AHA ACLS (required)
• Experience with IV insertion and phlebotomy
