Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Adult Care

Location: New York, NY 10004

Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (7.5 hours/day)

Weekly Hours: 37.5 hours

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an Adult Care role in a home-based setting. The ideal candidate will have strong Med/Surg experience and be comfortable providing direct patient care in patients’ homes. This role involves managing 4–8 patients per day and requires weekend rotation (every other weekend).

Transportation support is available within the assigned borough.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Provide bedside nursing care for pre- and post-surgical patients
• Administer and document medications as prescribed
• Perform clinical procedures including wound care, IV therapy, catheter insertion, and dressing changes
• Monitor vital signs and report any adverse reactions
• Operate and adjust specialized medical equipment
• Collaborate with healthcare teams on care planning and discharge processes
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-operative care
• Maintain accurate patient records, charts, and documentation
• Follow established nursing standards, protocols, and best practices

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience in:
  • Large acute care hospital setting OR
  • Post-acute care setting
• Recent experience within the past year required
• Strong skills in:
  • Physical assessment
  • Medication administration
  • IV therapy
  • Wound care & infection control
  • Post-operative care
  • Telemetry monitoring
  • Patient education

Preferred Skills

• Experience with EPIC EMR

Education Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution

Certifications & Licensure

• Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verified)
• AHA BLS Certification (Required)
• AHA ACLS Certification (Required for select locations)
