Junior High Spanish Teacher - Part-Time (Queens, NYC) - 2026/2027 School Year

Espáñate LLC is seeking an experienced and energetic Junior High Spanish Teacher for a school in Queens, NY for the 2026–2027 school year

• Part-time position
• Pay: $50/hour
• Must have availability to teach a demo class now on a Monday or Tuesday
• Additional teaching opportunities may arise throughout the school year

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience teaching junior high / middle school students
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Dynamic and engaging teaching style
• Organized, reliable, professional, and punctual
• Passion for language education and student growth

Responsibilities:

• Create structured, interactive, and age-appropriate Spanish lessons
• Develop and implement engaging curriculum and lesson plans
• Foster language learning, cultural awareness, and student participation
• Assess student progress and maintain classroom records
• Collaborate with colleagues and utilize educational technology tools
• Create a positive and engaging classroom environment

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Spanish, Linguistics, or related field preferred
• Prior classroom experience teaching middle school students
• Fingerprinted for NYC schools
• Medical exams completed
• Required NYC DOE courses completed (Mandated Reporter, etc.)
• Eligibility to work in the United States
• Familiarity with educational technology platforms preferred
