Barista

Fiolino is opening a brand-new, small-format cafe in a friendly residential neighborhood, and we're looking for warm, hands-on Baristas to join our opening team! Picture a cozy spot where you'll get to know regulars by name, kids and dogs stop by, and neighbors come in for their daily coffee ritual. Because we're a small store, this is a true all-around role: you'll learn every station and pitch in wherever the team needs you. About the Role:
- This is an all-around position in a small, community-focused store. You'll be cross-trained across coffee bar, front-of-house, light food prep, register, and cleaning duties. Building genuine relationships with our neighborhood regulars is a big part of the job. Flexibility and a willingness to learn are essential.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve high-quality espresso drinks, drip coffee, and specialty beverages. Greet guests warmly, remember regulars' orders, and provide attentive, personalized service. Handle the POS, cash, and card transactions. Assist with light food prep, plating, and pastry/grab-and-go setup. Keep the bar, dining area, restrooms, and back-of-house clean and organized. Restock products, rotate inventory, and help with opening/closing duties. Jump between stations as needed during peak hours. Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications:
- 1+ year of barista or customer-facing hospitality experience preferred (training provided). Genuine love for connecting with people and building community. Eagerness to learn multiple roles in a small-team environment. Friendly, positive attitude with strong communication skills. Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure. Reliable, punctual, and a true team player. Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs. NYC Food Handler's Certificate a plus (or willingness to obtain). Open availability including weekends and holidays preferred.
