HR Operations Specialist

About the Position
Lead the strategic design, implementation, and management of efficient HR operational processes for a global organization focusing on onboarding/offboarding, HRIS, employee life cycle and regulatory/compliance in support of business growth and goals. Ensure a scalable infrastructure to support U.S. and international expansion prioritizing “best in class” employee experience. Develop KPI’s and reporting for HR operations, aligning ongoing processes and procedures with the broader HR strategy. This role is based in NYC, oversees a team of four and acts as a bridge between HR service delivery and strategic HR initiatives, to optimize the full employee lifecycle experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Leadership: This position requires strong cross-functional collaboration with IT, Finance, Legal, Recruitment and Talent Development teams to implement new policies, processes, and services to best align HR operations with business objectives and requirements
- HR Process & Workday System Integration: Oversee core processes (hiring, onboarding, offboarding, performance management, timekeeping, etc.) to ensure data integrity, efficiency and workflow improvements while prioritizing a “white glove” candidate and employee experience
- Compliance & Policy: Partner with Legal, Compliance and Regulatory teams to ensure adherence to labor laws, data privacy (GDPR, etc.), FINRA/FCA regulations; developing and implementing policies and procedures as needed. Maintain well documented policies and procedures for HR operations.
- Data & Analytics: Partner with WD lead to improve data integrity, develop audits and analyze trends; maximize WD based solutions.
- Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the HR Operations team of 4, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years HR experience, 3 or more of those in Operations/HRIS, in Financial Services
- Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong analytical, organizational, project management and change management skills
- Strategic thinking with a focus on operational excellence
- Excellent communication, leadership, partnering and project management skills
Work Location
- Currently, this role is expected to be in the New York office 4 days per week.
Salary
- Annual base salary between $160,000 - $195,000.
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
