As a Dessert/Pastry Prep and Finisher, you’ll help create the sweet moments our guests look forward to—preparing, baking, and finishing our signature desserts with care. You’ll follow recipes with speed, efficiency, and attention to detail, ensuring every dessert is made perfectly. You’ll bake and beautifully plate our key lime pie, beignets, cookies, and more, taking pride in delivering the quality that elevates every guest’s experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, bake, and plate desserts in a fast paced, high volume restaurant
• Follow prep lists and complete tasks with a sense of urgency
• Read and follow recipes using precise measurements, weights, and portioning
• Safely operate mixers, ovens, fryers, and other kitchen equipment
• Finish and garnish desserts with accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail
• Craft specialty coffee and espresso beverages using an espresso machine
• Support opening and closing procedures including station setup and breakdown
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
• Apply FIFO (First In, First Out) for labeling, dating, rotating, and storing ingredients
• Accurately follow instructions while upholding food safety and food handling standards, with awareness of food allergies
• Support teamwork through clear and effective communication

Qualifications

• Prior kitchen experience in the food service industry preferred
• Familiarity with kitchen tools, equipment, prepping, or baking, a plus
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
• Reliable and punctual with a positive, patient attitude
• Dependable, adaptable, and dedicated with a strong work ethic
• Passionate about hospitality and contributing to a positive team culture
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, continuously bend, reach and twist
• Must be at least 18 years old
