Overview: SGA Lists is assembling a high-energy, customer-focused Food Runner team for the US Open at Shinnecock Hills. Be part of a championship atmosphere, collaborating with a supportive crew to ensure flawless service across concession venues. Food Runners transport dishes from kitchen to guests’ tables, communicating menu details clearly and professionally. This role requires speed, organization, and strong communication.

Essential Functions:

• Set up, organize, maintain, and clean work areas as needed.
• Understand venue layout, including table numbers and seat positions.
• Ensure plates are presented exactly as intended; consistency is key.
• Communicate any special orders, allergies, or dietary restrictions between FOH and BOH.
• Deliver food to guests in a positive, knowledgeable manner.
• Communicate professionally and concisely with FOH, BOH, and management at all times.
• Manage waste in an environmentally responsible way per policy.
• Assist with additional tasks to meet guest service standards.
• Support teammates and management as needed.
• Adhere to all health code and sanitation regulations.

Requirements:

• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational ability and multitasking capability.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
• Ability to stand for extended periods; frequent walking; occasional sitting, stooping, bending, and reaching.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Fast, efficient, and responsive under event conditions.

Travel Note The 2026 US Open at Shinnecock Hills will feature enhanced LIRR service with dedicated trains to Southampton and shuttle buses to the course, ensuring convenient travel for staff and guests.
