Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring an active NY RN license, with ACLS and PALS certifications, serving an all-age, all-surgical-case patient population.

Details

• Hospital-based Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) with 20 beds
• All-age, all-surgical-cases patient population
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 depending on acuity; 1:1 for pediatric and ICU patients
• Unit staffed with a unit secretary and 2 PCTs
• 30–60 surgical cases per day
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (9:00 AM – 9:30 PM)
• 36 hours of weekend call required per month
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NY RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Prior PACU experience required

Additional Information

• Candidates who have been employed by any Guthrie facility within the past year are not eligible for this position
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• Up to 5 days of RTO may be approved upfront; holidays are excluded from RTO
