The Respiratory Therapist (RT) will be responsible for assessment, treatment and management of all patients across the age spectrum with breathing abnormalities or imparities. Candidates must possess strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills, work well in a multidisciplinary team environment as well as the ability to work independently. We are seeking results driven team players who are passionate about providing excellent patient care and who thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Performs all respiratory therapy duties in all patient care areas.
- Proficient in mechanical ventilation, NIPPV, patient assessment, tracheostomy care, high flow Oxygen therapy, airway stabilization/maintenance, patient education, ABG acquisition and outpatient respiratory procedures.
- Quickly responds and communicates with nursing and providers regarding changes in patient condition.
- Performs timely and accurate documentation
- Actively participates in patient treatment plan and supports multidisciplinary team rounds.
- Positive attitude with a patient centered care focus and maintains approachable behavior and acts as a resource to others
Required Skills and Experience:
- Education: RRT
- Experience: New graduates and experienced therapists
- Licensure: Active New York Respiratory Therapist License
- Certifications BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP

- Onsite at Cayuga Medical Center: 101 Dates Drive, Ithaca, NY 14850
- Shift: Days/Evenings FLEX. Anticipated schedule 6:15 AM to 6:45 PM (3-12's). Rotating weekends.
- 0%-5% Local Area Travel can be expected in this role
Pay Range Disclosure:
- $38.00 to $48.00 per hour
