Server Assistant

OVERVIEW

The Server Assistant with F&B 575 at Aman New York maintains all dining room environment and equipment ensuring , assists server s , anticipates guests’ needs and addresses them accordingl y .

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Check assigned station before, during and after shift for proper set up and

cleanliness

• Responsible for the completion of designated side work checklists (both opening an d

closing)

• Responsible for keeping the dining room floors free of debris and spilled liquids

• Bus tables and re-se t tables for the next guest. Pick-up clean linen for service and

d rop off soiled linen for washing to determined area

• Always provide excellent service to all our guests

• Assist g uest s courteously and efficiently

• Maintain the cleanliness of the dining room and station at all time s

• Keep chairs and banquettes clean and clear of debris

• Handle customer requests in a timely manner

• Set up side station with water pitche r s, etc . a s established in the side work sheet

• Follow the cleaning program for the restaurant established in the side work sheet

• Upkeep and clear tables between courses throughout the meal

• Delivery of food from kitchen to guest’s tables, including tray service

• Assist in setting up tables according to floor plan

• Anticipate guest needs, as to where guests will never have to ask for anything

• Attend all food and beverage training classes when requested

• W ish every guest a warm farewell and thank them for coming

• Must be aware at all times what type of water each guest in their station is drinking

• Make coffee, tea, and hot beverages for guests

• Place all to go food in appropriate containers

• Attend daily pre meal/communication meeting

• Attend monthly department meeting

• Communicat e with all server s and server assistants in a professional manner

• All other responsibilities assigned by Management

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language

• Willing to work a flexible schedule and holidays

• Be a self-motivator and motivator of others

• Work in a safe, prudent, and organized manner

• Have good knowledge of food and beverage preparation s

• Be able to relate to all levels of guests and management

• Have the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time

• Have excellent communication and organization skills

• Maintain a clean and healthy personal hygiene and grooming

• Be able to consistently delight and satisfy our guest

• Have the ability to handle guest requests in a detailed manner

• TIPS and ServSafe Certified

• Must be comfortable with exposure to the elements, as some duties may require outdoor work or exposure to varying weather conditions.

• Ability to carry, push, and pull heavy loads up to 50 lbs; standing, bending and lifting will be required .

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
