Job Summary
Long Island Foot Specialist offers both conservative & surgical treatment services for our patients. We are committed to providing uncompromising excellence in the diagnosing and treatment of foot & ankle problems. Our state of the art facilities are located in both Nassau (Plainview) and Suffolk (Lindenhurst & Wading River) Counties. Our genuine concern for patient comfort and effective treatment methods make us one of the most highly respected practices on Long Island. We are looking for a highly skilled General Podiatrist to join our fast growing team.
- Competitive six figure salary
- Generous bonus (base pay $150k + bonus = possibility of up to $350,000 for the first year)

- ** Part time (4 hours per day, 20 hours per week): Monday through Friday, leading to immediate Full time (7-8 hours per day, 35 hours per week) employment as schedule allows**
- Open position: podiatrist to head our new General Podiatry Department

Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough clinical evaluations of patients presenting with foot and ankle complaints, including physical examinations and medical history assessments.
- Diagnose conditions such as diabetic foot ulcers, ingrown toenails, and skin condtions using clinical judgment and diagnostic tools.
- Develop personalized treatment plans.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient encounters accurately, track progress, and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams.
- Educate patients on foot health maintenance, injury prevention strategies, proper footwear selection, and lifestyle modifications to promote long-term wellness.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers in specialties such as endocrinology for diabetic care or vascular medicine for circulatory issues to ensure comprehensive patient management.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited podiatric medical college.
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to practice as a podiatrist in New York..
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation and patient management.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and empathetically.
