Referral Service Liaison

We are seeking talented and enthusiastic individuals to engage with our patients and serve as a primary contact and welcoming first impression for our patients and visitors. As a Customer Service Representative, you will collaborate with providers and staff, serving as a liaison between patients, UEC departments, and external organizations or health facilities. You will be responsible for providing patients with timely, accurate, and professional service; independently resolving issues; and thoroughly documenting all inquiries and outcomes. The role also involves facilitating enrollment in our patient portal, responding to staff and patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, completing patient registration, and performing insurance verification and authorizations using the NextGen Electronic Health Record and Practice Management System.

Requirements:

• Minimum of two years of experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare, patient referral service, or client service environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Professional demeanor with excellent phone and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).

Preferred:

• Knowledge of insurance verification and authorization.
• Background in optical or vision care.
• Experience with computerized Practice Management (PM) and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Bachelor’s degree and/or bilingual skills.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm.

Annual Salary (including location pay) is $49,372 and there is also a generous benefit package. 15 days of annual leave to start and 13 paid holidays per year. We are a qualifying employer in the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. View our Benefits at Glance .
