Real Estate Paralegal

Our client in Poughkeepsie, NY is seeking a Real Estate Paralegal to join their team. The client is seeking someone with Real Estate practice practice. The Paralegal will be responsible for providing a range of legal support and administration to lawyers and other legal professionals.


This is a full time, temp-to-hire opportunity available immediately! Pay rate is $25 per hour.


The Paralegal must have:

»At least 2 years of practice in the legal field, specifically with Real Estate, Titles, Closings practice

» knowledge of legal procedures, protocols and the court system

»Thorough knowledge of legal terminology

»Excellent organization and time management expertise

»Proficiency with computers and computer programs such as MS Word and Excel

» capability to proactively work alone and well under pressure


Job tasks include:

»Drafting cover letters and document preparation

»Drafting and writing reports and legal documents

»Filing motions about cases

»Researching laws and judicial decisions about current as well as past cases

»Keeping case files confidential and organized

»Assisting lawyers prepare for court with all administrative needs
