Customer Data Product Manager

The organization seeks a Customer Data Product Manager to lead a proprietary fan data product, enabling personalization and engagement for a major professional sports league. The role emphasizes product strategy, consumer data capabilities, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver measurable fan experience outcomes.

Rate: $80.00 to $70.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for the proprietary fan data platform.
• Translate business goals into clear product requirements, roadmaps, and success metrics.
• Partner with data, marketing, and engineering teams to enhance how fan data is collected, unified, and activated.
• Identify opportunities to leverage fan insights for personalization, retention, and engagement.
• Work with stakeholders to define product vision, prioritize features, and align with league strategy.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on consumer data trends and best practices within digital product ecosystems.
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to validate data quality and ensure product integrity without coding or pipeline design.
• Monitor product performance and user engagement to inform improvements.
• Develop documentation, briefs, and reporting to communicate impact and roadmap progress to leadership.
• Champion data privacy, compliance, and ethical data use in all product initiatives.

Experience Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of product management experience, preferably with consumer data, CRM, or audience platforms.
• Proven ability to manage data-driven or customer insights products end-to-end.
• Experience in consumer-facing industries such as sports, media, entertainment, or D2C (preferred).
