Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Engineer with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and AI-assisted development to join our team. This role involves designing and delivering scalable systems for Equity Derivatives and Structured Products businesses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architecture, with a proven ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate development. This is a senior-level individual contributor role that requires solving complex technical and business challenges while shaping architecture, engineering standards, and platform strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end technical delivery for complex initiatives, from requirements analysis to production rollout and ongoing support.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable enterprise applications, APIs, and user interfaces using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular.
• Develop high-performance distributed systems that process large volumes of business-critical transactions.
• Lead architecture and design reviews across strategic platforms.
• Modernize legacy applications toward microservices and event-driven architectures to improve scalability and resiliency.
• Apply AI-assisted development tools responsibly across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Translate business needs into robust technical solutions and deliver strategic and regulatory commitments.
• Provide technical leadership during production incidents and drive continuous improvement in monitoring and stability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• 5-8 years of professional software development experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Java development and modern web applications using Angular and TypeScript.
• Proven experience designing and supporting large-scale distributed systems and microservice architectures.
• Strong commitment to engineering excellence, including clean design, high-quality code, and automated testing.
• Solid grounding in data structures, algorithms, software design, relational databases, and SQL.
• Track record of delivery in Agile environments with strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced front-office environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with structured products, equity derivatives, front-office trading systems, or investment banking technology.
• Familiarity with Kafka or similar messaging platforms, containerization, cloud platforms, and observability tools.
• Applied use of generative AI tools to improve software engineering productivity and quality.
• Practical experience with prompt engineering and workflow automation.

Tech Stack:

• Backend: Java 11+, Spring / Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, messaging/event-driven architectures, distributed systems.
• Frontend: Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, modern UI frameworks.
• Engineering Excellence: Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code review, and performance optimization.

Pay Range: $60 - $76/hour on W2
