Job Title: Environmental Scientist Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting soil and water sampling, managing construction and excavation oversight, and handling equipment setup. You will also be responsible for signing manifests and logging trucks as they arrive.

Responsibilities

• Conduct soil and water sampling to assess environmental conditions.
• Oversee excavation and construction activities to ensure compliance with environmental standards.
• Set up and manage equipment for environmental monitoring.
• Sign manifests and log trucks upon arrival.
• Ensure adherence to CAMP standards during site activities.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
• Experience in geology, environmental science, and environmental engineering.
• Knowledge of remediation and soil sampling techniques.
• Willingness to work on a construction site and outdoors throughout the day.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• OSHA 40 / HAZWOPER certification.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• SST certification.
• Any level of experience in the environmental field is welcomed.

Work Environment

You will be working on a remediation site with hours from 6-7 AM to 3:30 PM in the Bronx, with potential assignments in Brooklyn in the coming weeks. The role offers hands-on mentorship and training opportunities, especially for entry-level candidates. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $37.00/hr.
