Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Schedule & Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks

• Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM

• Hours: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours/day)

• Days: 5 days per week

• Weekend Requirement: Every weekend

• Days Off: Tuesday/Wednesday or Wednesday/Thursday

• Training:

  • 2 weeks

  • 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Includes EPIC system training

Compensation

• Gross Weekly Pay: $1,302/week

• W2 Rate: $17/hour

• Weekly Stipend: $665

Position Summary

The Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacy operations by assisting with medication preparation, dispensing, and inventory management while ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role works collaboratively with pharmacists and healthcare staff in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and dispensing

• Accurately process medication orders using electronic systems

• Maintain proper storage, labeling, and inventory of medications

• Support sterile compounding and IV room operations as assigned

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

• Maintain accurate documentation and records

• Communicate effectively with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare staff

• Participate in training and ongoing competency requirements

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician

• Education: High School Diploma or GED

• Licensure:

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician license issued by New York State Education Department (NYSED)

  • Primary Source Verification required from NYS Department of Education
