Fusco Personnel is seeking a General Superintendent to oversee large-scale commercial construction projects and lead all field operations on-site. This position is responsible for managing superintendents, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring successful project execution through strong leadership in safety, scheduling, quality control, budgeting, and client satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate day-to-day field operations for large commercial construction projects
- Manage and supervise project superintendents, subcontractors, and trade contractors to ensure quality work and adherence to project schedules
- Oversee site safety programs. Enforce compliance with safety standards and project safety plans
- Manage project budgets related to general conditions and site services
- Develop, document, and communicate field work plans and changes throughout the construction process
- Maintain a thorough understanding of contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Coordinate permitting activities and verify subcontractor compliance with all necessary permits and approvals
- Create, manage, and update project schedules while implementing contingency and recovery plans when needed
- Communicate schedule updates, project progress, and field changes to project teams and trade contractors
- Plan and manage jobsite logistics, shutdowns, tie-ins, and work-around activities
- Lead contractor and subcontractor meetings on a regular basis
- Oversee project reporting and documentation utilizing Procore and other PM software
- Monitor project quality plans and implement corrective actions as necessary
- Resolve field conflicts and jurisdictional disputes efficiently and professionally
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, subcontractors, unions, project stakeholders
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred OR equivalent combination of education and field experience
- Approximately 10+ years of commercial construction experience with progressive field leadership responsibilities
- Demonstrated experience supervising large-scale construction projects and project teams
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control across all divisions of work
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to changing project demands and work effectively in a team environment
- Construction document and drawing literate with strong understanding of contract documents and specifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Procore, and construction management software
- Strong commitment to construction safety and ability to promote a “safety first” culture on-site
- OSHA 30-hour certification required
Salary: $123,600 - $158,200 (Our client will pay higher for experience) plus benefits and retirement program
