OverviewAre you ready to take your career to the next level in the dynamic world of insurance brokerage? At Arthur J. Gallagher, we are seeking a Marketing Manager to join our team of industry experts. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for marketing customer business—often of higher complexity—to a diverse range of insurance carriers. Leveraging your expertise, you will independently evaluate qualified companies in the marketplace, ensuring thorough and strategic placement decisions. As a Marketing Manager, you will also br responsible for assigning, prioritizing and monitoring work of less senior Specialists.
As a Marketing Manager, you will play a critical role in receiving and managing requests for quotations from account personnel, delivering tailored solutions that align with client needs. While you will operate independently, as well as provide supervisory support to staff, you will also have the support of upper management for guidance on unusual or complex cases. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills in risk management and insurance placement while contributing to the success of our clients and organization. How you'll make an impact- Markets customer business, typically of higher complexity, to variety of insurance carriers.
- Ensures thorough evaluation of qualified companies in the marketplace independently
- Receives requests for quotations from account personnel.
- Identifies and analyzes client exposures to recommend and/or design risk transfer/financing products.
- Identifies appropriate carriers, sends requests, negotiates favorable quotes and prepares recommendations.
- Participates in development of department policies and procedures and implements them in assigned area.
- Supervisory responsibilities for assigning, prioritizing and monitoring work of less senior Specialists.
- Required: Bachelor's degree and 4 years related experience required. Insurance licensing required.
- Preferred: Professional designation preferred, such as CPCU, CIC or ARM
- A minimum of 6 years of broking experience in the marketplace
- Existing, successful relationships with a number of insurers
- A license essential to provincial licensing jurisdictions, along with management of continuing education hours
- The ability to explain complex issues in simple terms and connect with clients and colleagues effectively
- A solution-oriented mindset with a knack for developing resourceful and innovative approaches
- Familiarity with insurance document management software (EPIC) is preferred but not required
- Completion of post-secondary degrees or insurance designations is nice to have
We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
