Automotive Technician
Job Description:
Heights Nissan is seeking an experienced and skilled Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance with specific experience working within a dealership setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic services and troubleshooting to identify the root cause of vehicle issues.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
- Execute repair work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc.
- Communicate with service advisors regarding vehicle inspection findings and required repairs.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing reliable and timely service.
- Stay up-to-date with technical knowledge and advancements by participating in ongoing training and educational opportunities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety standards and regulations.
- Follow dealership and manufacturer service guidelines and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical school certification or degree in automotive repair is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Automotive Technician in a dealership environment.
- ASE certification is preferred.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostic equipment and tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend service and technical information.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
