Temporary Desktop Support Technician

$20–$25/hr | Full-Time | 2-Month Contract (Possible Extension).

We’re looking for a reliable and tech-savvy Desktop Technician to join our team and support a major university in Queens, NY . This is a 2-month temporary position with the potential to extend. If you're hands-on with hardware and love solving IT puzzles, we want to hear from you!

• Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops and laptops.
• Image and set up devices for new users.
• Assist staff with setup and basic tech support.
• Diagnose hardware/software issues on-site.
• Run updates, patches, and system upgrades.
• Work closely with IT teams and project managers to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide excellent customer support in a university setting.

What You Bring:

• 1–2 years of desktop support or related experience.
• Knowledge of Windows OS and general hardware/software troubleshooting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and on a team.
• Comfortable lifting and moving equipment as needed.

Schedule:

• Full-time hours (specific schedule may vary slightly based on deployment needs).
