Blind Camp Instructor
Blind Camp Instructor – Music, Arts, Sports & More
Lightkeepers International LLC is seeking a Blind Camp Instructor to lead engaging, inclusive activities for blind and visually impaired youth.
You will facilitate programs such as music , arts and crafts, drums and percussion, sports, theater, and other specialty activities while supporting independence, confidence, and social-emotional growth in a safe camp environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead adaptive music, arts and crafts, drums, sports, theater, and related enrichment activities for blind and visually impaired campers.
- Promote camper independence, skill-building, and positive social interaction in all activities.
- Ensure high standards of safety, accessibility, and respectful support throughout the day.
- Collaborate with camp leadership and fellow staff to create a positive, inclusive camp culture.
Requirements:
- MUST have previous experience working with blind or visually impaired youth in camp, after-school, school, or similar settings.
- Background in one or more of the following: music, arts and crafts, drums/percussion, sports, theater, or a related specialty.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and a passion for accessibility and inclusion.
