Job Title: Middleware Architect

Work Location: State: New York : City: New York

Seeking a skilled Middleware Architect to design and implement a robust API management layer for enterprise intranet platform integration.

Hybrid project: 1 week onsite every 2 months

This is a 6-9+ month contract with potential for conversion to full-time employment.

Rates: $65-$70/hr on C2C
Only USC, GC, EAD's

HM Note:

• Will work closely with solutions architect
• This resource need to be an Engineer Work with middleware architect
• Already a solutions architect and a UI person on the team (need additional people to support)
• Must know all the build out/framework
• Must have extensive API experience management layer (build it out completely - - Mt. Sinai doesn't have this type of resource)
• 6 9+ month engagement (be open to contract to hire)
• Akumina Intranet that MSHS uses (SharePoint sites) bringing content but need to work beyond SharePoint (Oracle, Epic, etc.) This platform/tool with give them better access to the data.
• Leveraging the LLM (timekeeping)
• Work with Akumina to leverage the LLM
• Just signed the Akumina contact last week They (Akumina) are leading the implementation.
• This team will be responsible for getting all the SharePoint sites up and running by November
• Planning to integrate Akumina into ServiceNow
• Seeking a hands on Architect
• Prefer Akumina experience but not necessarily required
• Integrate SharePoint with Akumina UI's
• The Akumina tool is brand new to the Mt. Sinai team.
• Prefer local/regional candidates but open to 100% remote (1-2 days/week for locals - - 1 week onsite every 2 months for non-locals, expenses will be covered)

Seeking a skilled Middleware Architect to design and implement a robust API management layer for enterprise intranet platform integration.


We are looking for an experienced Middleware Architect to join our team in developing a comprehensive API management solution that will connect our modern intranet platform with multiple enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will design and implement a secure, scalable middleware architecture that enables efficient data flow, request management, and system integration. This role requires expertise in API development, security protocols, and enterprise integration patterns. This is a 6-9+ month contract with potential for conversion to full-time employment. Remote work is available with occasional onsite requirements.



Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in middleware architecture and integration
- Strong expertise in API design, development, and management
- Experience with SharePoint integration and development
- Knowledge of enterprise security protocols and best practices
- Experience with intranet platform implementations
- Familiarity with UKG and ServiceNow integration
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles
- Experience with throttling and request management implementation
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives
- Experience mentoring junior team members
