Real Estate Tax Consultant
Kforce has a client in NYC that is seeking a Real Estate Tax Consultant. Responsibilities:
- Provide advisory support on real estate-related tax matters, including property tax, transfer tax, and transaction-related considerations
- Analyze and review real estate transactions to identify tax implications, risks, and planning opportunities
- Assist with tax compliance activities related to real estate portfolios, including filings, reporting, and documentation
- Research federal, state, and local tax regulations affecting real estate investments and operations
- Support audits, assessments, and inquiries from taxing authorities as needed
- Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to address complex tax issues
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and tax efficiencies
- Prepare summaries, analyses, and recommendations for stakeholders and leadership
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field required; advanced degree or CPA preferred
- 8-10 years of experience in real estate tax, property tax, or related tax consulting roles
- Strong knowledge of real estate tax regulations and industry practices
- Experience supporting real estate transactions, investments, or portfolios
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and research skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
