Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Partner with the CTO to define and implement the AI strategy across engineering and product initiatives.
- Work closely with the CTO to implement best engineering practices, including unit testing, monitoring, CI/CD pipelines, integration tests, infrastructure as code, documentation and feature flagging.
- Design, develop, and implement scalable, reliable, and secure platforms, including modern cloud infrastructure, automation tools, and streamlined development workflows.
- Architect and build large-scale .NET systems using the latest frameworks, tools, and infrastructure best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product and business stakeholders, to define requirements and deliver robust technical solutions.
- Own the integration architecture, including design, development, optimization, and performance monitoring of key interfaces and touchpoints.
- Provide mentorship to junior developers through code reviews, hands-on training, and knowledge sharing.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends in AI, DevOps, and modern engineering practices, and apply them to elevate platform capabilities.
- Perform other relevant responsibilities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Extensive experience in C# and ASP.NET web and application development
- Well-rounded full-stack developer with hands-on experience across front-end, back-end, and DevOps
- Proficient in SQL Server with strong SQL programming skills
- Familiar with legacy .NET versions (2.x and 3.x)
- Proven track record of architecting and building large-scale systems
- Experienced in Agile Scrum methodologies; proficient with tools like TFS and Azure DevOps
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (2008, 2012, 2016) for deployment and configuration
- Deep expertise with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Pulumi
- Proficient in Docker and Kubernetes for scalable microservices deployment and orchestration
- Skilled in using AI to enhance development workflows, including code generation, test automation, documentation, and user experience optimization
- Experience with data warehouse design and implementation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiar with prompt engineering and integration of large language models (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral) via APIs and custom prompts (a plus)
- Efficient multitasker with the ability to thrive in fast-paced settings
- Hands-on experience with AngularJS, MVC, or WCF (a plus)
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in software development, programming, and related technology roles
- Strong hands-on experience with DevOps practices, tools, and pipelines
- 10+ working in Agile environments, with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies and team dynamics
- Experience developing and maintaining Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) workflows is a plus
- Previous experience managing or leading software development teams

The base salary range for this role is $170,000 - $200,000, commensurate with the candidate's experience, plus an annual discretionary performance bonus.
