About Beauty Forward: We bridge the gap between beauty industry excess and community need.

Beauty Forward redistributes excess beauty and hygiene products from to underserved communities.

We need a strategic Program Director to lead our launch from proven concept (1,000+ products collected in beta month) to sustainable operations serving individuals monthly across NYC.

What You’ll Do

Program Strategy & Launch (40%)

• Implement 4-stage logistics operation (pickup → process → sort → distribute)
• Build partnerships with donors and community organizations across NYC boroughs
• Establish quality control standards and volunteer training protocols
• Oversee operational systems to process 4,000+ products monthly

Development & Fundraising (35%)

• Research and write foundation grants for environmental sustainability and community empowerment
• Cultivate individual donor relationships and stewardship programs
• Develop beauty brand partnerships and structure
• Create compelling impact narratives for fundraising materials

Operations Management (25%)

• Coordinate courier pickup services and inventory management systems
• Oversee technology platform implementation for tracking and coordination
• Monitor KPIs: 95%+ partner acceptance rate, under $3.50 cost per item, 7-day processing

Your Background

Nonprofit Experience: 1-2 years in program management or development at community-serving organizations

Operational Skills: Experience building systems from scratch, managing logistics, or coordinating volunteers

Grant Writing: Proven success securing foundation grants $25K-$100K+

Startup Mentality: Thrives in resource-conscious environments building sustainable programs

Community Focus: Genuine commitment to serving underserved communities and environmental sustainability

Nice to Have: Beauty industry knowledge, social enterprise experience, NYC nonprofit connections
