Travel Licensed Practical Nurse LPN Job
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Travel assignment in Newark, NY. Work on a 41-bed short-term rehab unit within a skilled nursing facility. Start date 09/15/2026 for a Weeks assignment. Weekly pay range $1,189–$1,265. Shift is 5x8 Evenings. No guaranteed hours. This position requires EPIC charting and hands-on care for adults and geriatrics on a mixed post-operative and medical population. Key Highlights

- Orientation: 16 hours Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients, including post-operative orthopedic and cardiac populations
- Administer medications, monitor patient status, and respond to changes in condition
- Perform wound care, wound V.A.C. management, IV therapy, PICC line care, and nephrostomy care as prescribed
- Manage routine post-op and medical care, including Foley/NG/G-tube care, oxygen delivery, and dressing changes
- Document care and outcomes in EPIC; participate in interdisciplinary rounds with PT, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, and Unit Secretary
- Maintain patient safety and comfort within unit protocols; support variability in patient ratios by shift; float as needed per facility requirements
- Follow facility orientation and training requirements (16 hours) and adhere to pre-approved time off as documented in the contract Requirements
- Current NY LPN license in-hand to submit
- BLS certification
- EPIC charting experience (required)
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- Wound care / IV therapy / PICC line care / nephrostomy care and post-op orthopedic and cardiac patient care experience
- Ability to work in a 41-bed short-term rehab unit with adult/geriatric patient population
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
