Service Writer
Join a well-established agricultural and light industrial equipment dealership headquartered in Vermont at our Waterloo, New York location. As a Service Writer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Service department by coordinating work flow, supporting customers, and representing the company’s brand. Responsibilities
- Coordinate the flow of work through the Service department, including customer, warranty, and internal work orders
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers by answering phone calls and emails, and providing timely updates on service work
- Write and process work orders for service and warranty repairs based on information from Service Technicians
- Assist the Service Manager with scheduling, prioritizing, and assigning work activities based on personnel skills and workload
- Drive Service department sales by delivering superior customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Gather and communicate product information to accurately determine and address customer needs
- Handle payment collection and ensure accurate documentation of all service transactions
- Perform various clerical and administrative tasks to support the Service department
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
- Fundamental computer skills
- Willingness to learn; training will be provided for the right candidate
