Job Title : RN – Labor & Delivery
Location: Bronx, NY 10461 (Jacobi Medical Center)
Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3 Days/Week
Weekly Hours: 36–40 Hours
Position Overview:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery to provide high-quality maternal and newborn care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have strong maternal-child health experience, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to manage high-acuity patients effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal conditions during labor and delivery
- Assist physicians during delivery procedures
- Administer medications and IV therapy as prescribed
- Perform patient assessments and document clinical findings
- Support patients through labor, delivery, and recovery
- Educate patients and families on postpartum and care plans
- Respond to emergencies and provide rapid interventions
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) required
Licensure & Certification:
- Active RN License (New York State)
- BLS (AHA) required
- ACLS (AHA) required
- NRP Certification required
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Maternal & Child Health experience
- Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
- Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Expertise in labor & delivery procedures
- IV therapy and phlebotomy proficiency
- Patient-centered care approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to perform in high-pressure environments
