Shift Timing: 4:00 PM-12:00 AM-(1 hrs Break included)
Hours/week: 35hrs/week(7x5)

Local Pay Range: $60-66/hrs.
Traveler pay range: $2600-2700/weekly

Job Summary

The Mental Health Clinician will provide comprehensive mental health services to incarcerated adult men in a correctional setting. Under the supervision of a Clinical Supervisor and Unit Chief, the clinician will conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic services in accordance with best clinical practices and organizational policies.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health evaluations, crisis interventions, and ongoing assessments.
• Determine appropriate levels of care and coordinate treatment dispositions.
• Provide individual and group therapy, including treatment on mental health observation units.
• Collaborate with reentry social workers for effective discharge planning.
• Participate in case conferences, clinical rounds, and treatment planning.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all clinical activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related mental health field.
• New York State license in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Strong background in assessment and treatment of adults with behavioral issues, substance use history, and severe mental illness.
• Preference for candidates with inpatient or related clinical experience.
• Strong documentation, collaboration, and crisis management skills.
