Sales Executive – Sleepwear & Sportswear (Off price channel)
Juniors & Ladies Apparel
Role Overview
We have a large, established Sleepwear and Sportswear business across multiple major retailers and are seeking an experienced apparel salesperson to manage and grow assigned accounts.
This role focuses on maintaining strong buyer relationships, ensuring excellent service and execution, and expanding existing programs. Buyers and accounts are already in place — the priority is keeping them highly satisfied while driving continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Growth
- Manage assigned Sleepwear and Sportswear retail accounts.
- Maintain strong, consistent communication with buyers to ensure satisfaction and trust.
- Ensure accounts are serviced at a high level across product, pricing, timelines, and execution.
- Identify and drive opportunities to expand programs and increase volume.
- Grow existing business through proactive follow-up and relationship management.
- Help drive annual sales growth and expand account penetration.
- Maintain strong follow-up and customer service throughout the sales process.
Sales Execution
- Present assortments, concepts, and pricing aligned with customer needs.
- Drive programs from development through order placement.
- Manage customer communication from concept through order placement.
- Track opportunities, timelines, and seasonal pipelines to ensure conversion.
- Attend buyer meetings, trade shows, and market appointments.
Product Development & Collaboration
- Work closely with merchandising, design, and production teams to develop product tailored to customer needs.
- Partner closely with design, production, and sourcing teams to execute customer requirements.
- Communicate buyer direction clearly and ensure proper execution.
- Monitor samples, costing, approvals, and production status to support accounts.
- Monitor market trends, competitive brands, and retail opportunities to identify growth potential and product direction.
Qualifications
- 3–7+ years of apparel sales or account management experience in Sleepwear, Sportswear, Juniors, or related categories.
- Experience selling into off price retailers such as Ross and Burlington.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
- Proven ability to maintain accounts and grow existing business.
- Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail.
- Ability to keep customers satisfied while managing multiple programs simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven.
- Strong understanding of apparel development, sourcing, and production processes.
Key Requirement
- Must excel at maintaining buyer relationships, delivering exceptional customer service, and growing existing accounts.
- Buyer relationships are already established — candidates are not required to bring accounts. The primary focus is servicing, managing, and growing existing business while identifying opportunities for expansion.

Salary: The anticipated base salary is $100k-$120k annually plus bonus. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, internal equity, and location.
