Job Overview
Manage the daily operations of Millbrook’s Tasting Room, Tap Room, and Retail Shop, ensuring visitors have a top-notch and memorable experience. This role calls for a proactive individual eager to take ownership and demonstrate leadership to drive the success of our retail wine business. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service and organizational skills, proven retail management experience, be friendly and outgoing, and demonstrate strong personnel management skills in a fast-paced setting. They should be enthusiastic, self-driven, a team leader, and willing to collaborate with a small, dedicated, talented team. The candidate must have excellent communication and entrepreneurial leadership skills.

Work Schedule
Thursday through Monday.
Must work weekends and most holidays – Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day excluded.
Full-Time Position - Minimum expected is 40/hours per week.

Tasting Room, Tap Room, and Hospitality Manager (TR) Direct Management Responsibilities
1) The efficient daily operation of the winery retail tasting room within established budget guidelines.
2) Hire, train, schedule, and manage skilled tasting ambassadors who are enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and professional.
3) Deliver a top-notch customer experience by offering visitors informative details about the winery and its wines, addressing their questions, overseeing the tasting room floor and staff, and addressing any issues that arise.
4) Strive to meet and exceed the established TR sales budgets with enthusiasm.
o Urge staff to push sales and meet their targets.
o Share sales goals and accomplishments with the team.
5) Conduct daily wine tastings and winery tours as needed for visiting customers.
6) Provide guidance and motivation to the TR staff to boost productivity and sales performance. Responsible for leading by example as a role model for all TR staff.
7) Participate with others in the design and maintenance of retail TR store displays and layout.
8) Arrange and oversee group tours such as buses, independent groups, weddings, and more.
9) Keep the TR, the Tap Room, outside areas, TR restrooms, outdoor winery grounds, and tasting room offices clean to show professionalism and good taste.
10) Maintain an efficient floor inventory of wine, supplies, and retail items on a daily basis.
11) Attend off-site winery events as needed.
12) Develop and implement new Tasting Room procedures as needed.

Tasting Room (TR) Shared Management Responsibilities
1) Assist with purchasing all items – food, non-wine items, paper products, glassware, Tap Room materials - for the Tasting Room and Tap Room.
2) Help manage special winery events.
3) Support the Marketing Department with the Private Label wine application.
4) Assist the Consumer Direct Sales Department with the shipping of orders.
5) Constantly work to expand knowledge in all aspects of wine, viticulture, and the winemaking process.
6) Ensure strict enforcement of all company policies and procedures.
7) All other responsibilities assigned by management to ensure the winery's successful operation.

• Must be enthusiastic and have an entrepreneurial attitude. 9 to 5 does not apply here.
• Maintain a positive attitude.
• Always stay aware of your physical surroundings.
• It is necessary to regularly inspect the cleanliness of the TR, bathrooms, and the surrounding areas, both inside and outside. Clean as necessary.
• Must have a passion for wine... even if you're not an expert.
• Must be outgoing and possess excellent verbal skills.
• Must be curious and eager to learn new things.
• Must grasp short-term goals while keeping a long-term perspective.
• Must know how to have fun.
