Accounts Payable Specialist

Menands, NY (Albany Area)

Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Join one of the largest healthcare systems in the Albany area as an Accounts Payable Specialist. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with invoices, vendor communications, and payment processing in a collaborative, team-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices, reimbursements, refunds, and vendor payments accurately and on time
• Review invoices for proper approvals and supporting documentation
• Maintain supplier records and ensure payment accuracy
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payment status
• Monitor payment terms, discounts, and rebate opportunities
• Assist with month-end and year-end activities, including 1099 reporting
• Maintain organized records to support audits and compliance requirements
• Partner with internal departments to support efficient financial operations

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience managing vendor invoices and communications
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Associate's degree required

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Menands, NY.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
