Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join an ambulatory care team. The RN will provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient clinical setting, performing assessments, supporting procedures, and ensuring efficient patient flow. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and experience in ambulatory or outpatient environments.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Shift: Day shift (varies between 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM)
• No weekends or holidays required
• Ambulatory / outpatient clinic setting

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and provide direct nursing care in an ambulatory setting
• Support physicians and providers during examinations and procedures
• Conduct triage and manage patient flow efficiently
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Provide patient education on treatments, medications, and follow-up care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
• Ensure compliance with clinical standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – New York State
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care experience (within the last 2 years)
• BLS certification (must be current or eligible for recertification)
• Experience working in hospitals of similar size or higher acuity
• Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must pass pre-employment health clearance, background check, and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in ambulatory or outpatient clinics
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system
• Experience in ophthalmology or specialty clinics
• Experience with triage and patient intake processes
• Experience in Level 1 trauma or large healthcare systems
