Job Title: Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab

Location: New York, NY 10016

Department: Cardiac Catheterization Lab

Schedule: 34.5 hours/week — 3 shifts of 11.5 hours (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

Position Overview

A major acute-care hospital in New York, NY is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab to support its cardiac catheterization services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care and cardiac procedures, delivering high-quality patient care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate during cardiac catheterization procedures

• Monitor and care for critically ill cardiac patients throughout all phases of care

• Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy

• Administer conscious sedation as required

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes

• Comply with safety, infection control, and quality improvement standards and policies

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of critical care nursing experience

• Strong skills in:

  • IV insertion

  • Phlebotomy

  • Conscious sedation

• Prior Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred

Education & Licensure Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program

• Active New York State RN License (primary source verification required)

• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
