Pharmacy Technician – Contract

Location: Queens, NY 11373

Duration: 14 Weeks

Schedule:

• Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM

• 5 Days per Week

• Every Weekend Required

Pay Rate: $28 – $30 per hour

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, this role is responsible for assisting with medication preparation, distribution, and inventory management while ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards.

This position involves rotating assignments across multiple hospital units, including inpatient, emergency, and behavioral health settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications

• Rotate across pharmacy units, shifts, and assignments as required

• Receive, deliver, and return medications, carts, and supplies throughout the facility

• Maintain accurate medication inventory and stock levels

• Operate pharmacy systems and automated dispensing equipment

• Ensure accuracy and efficiency in all tasks within required timelines

• Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and organizational policies

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience

• High School Diploma or GED

• Active Registered Pharmacy Technician License (NYSED)

• Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in medication dispensing

• Sterile compounding experience

• IV room experience
