Production Technician (Packaging)
Essential Functions
- Deliver daily production goals while focusing on safety and quality.
- Produce high-quality products following our client's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Package products and place labels in compliance with state regulations.
- Operate basic machinery.
- Adhere to quality control methods throughout the entire process.
- Manage time efficiently to meet goals while consistently producing quality products.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations.
- Work with cannabis in all stages and forms of the plant.
- Help create a positive environment by bringing a positive attitude and being self-motivated.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Remain aware of hazards in the workspace.
- Retain and understand department-specific training.
- Report safety incidents/concerns and comply with follow-up actions.
- Adhere to all safety requirements, state regulations, and PPE standards.
- Follow GMP, biosecurity, sanitation, and other quality/compliance requirements.
- Accurately complete required recordkeeping as directed by a lead or supervisor.
- Maintain and calibrate tools, equipment, and machinery as directed.
- Report and escalate safety and quality concerns.
- Regularly required to reach, grasp, bend, stoop, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions.
- Must be able to climb ladders and/or stairs and work from elevated platforms.
- Sit and/or stand for extended periods while maintaining focus.
- Lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds (and up to 100 pounds with assistance), exercising extreme care when working with product.
- Work in an environment that may reach 85+ degrees and 70% humidity for extended periods.
- Work at heights as required.
- Adapt to a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
- Daily exposure to allergens (including cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil).
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Effective time-management skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Strong teamwork skills while also able to complete individual tasks.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess a valid state-issued ID.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain state badging requirements to work in the cannabis industry
